Navigators, Mentors, and Advocates for Veterans

Navigators, Mentoring, and Peer to Peer Advocates

Transitioning from homelessness, active-duty, or from incarceration can be distressing, especially when attempting to go about the process of gathering documentation, apply for benefits, and manuever unfamiliar streets in a new city.

While many organizations have in-house mentors and navigators, there must be a balance between the logistical needs of the veteran and the patience of the navigator which can be tested with a veteran suffering mental health issues.

Are you a veteran in transition and needing some help? Does the mere thought of walking into a benefits office give you a panic attack? Many of us have been there.

There are resources available, but finding them can be a pain. The objective of those veterans and non-veterans listed here is to connect transitioning veterans with community navigators to assist with manuevering through the transitional process.
